NUT-110, Nutrition & Exercise

August 3, 2021 – October 4, 2021: Tuesday 1-5pm

A large part of being a Massage Therapist is having an understanding of what constitutes a healthy and comfortable body. Working on the muscles through manipulation, trigger points, and reflexology gives the therapist many signals of stress related and nutritionally based conditions. This course provides basic understanding of nutrition and health in a wellness model as students learn nutrition basics and the correlation between stress and health. Students also learn the relationship between life-style and wellness. Specific remedies within the scope of practice for Massage Therapists to create general well being for our clients are also covered.
